In a world that promotes intellectual intelligence and experiences mental exhaustion, we can easily overlook the importance of creative expression.
Many people view creativity as a form of play, and play should occur after our work is done. While others are nervous to step into creativity due to its unframed and limitless structure. Framework provides safety, and it also can provide restriction.
The role of creativity is to explore and step beyond the confines of the intellect. Creativity enables freedom and fluidity, and flow. It also allows your intuition to be heard above the everyday mental chatter.
Within the expansive dialogue of creative expression, every individual can find their voice, explore their potential, and play.
If you have been inspired to express yourself through creative means, be it music, writing, art or dance (to name a few), then it is wise to heed this calling.
Why?
Creativity contains a key to the deepest parts of you, and where your true expression can gain clarity, find its voice, express from the soul.
Creative release is like no other once you surrender into its flow. As you tap into various creative formats, you will experience what your soul expression desires at that time. This may be to find your voice, bring creation into form through imagery or writing, express yourself through dance or song, or allow your intuition to find its voice.
For me, I love to be intuitively guided as my creative outlets are many.

The Lantern and The Light

Our soul is the light that graces the earth,
our body, the lantern, protects its journey forth.
Our light although fragile, contains a strength of its own,
and when the two unify, divinity is formed.
Each lantern is special, unique and defined,
each light that it carries, seems to defy time.
Through their journey together they light the way,
offering support for others, the role that they play.
The lantern and the light, united in dance,
each enhancing the other, offering protection and stance.
Whether protecting or guiding or simply offering a glow,
their warmth is undeniable,
observe the purity of light flow.
The role of the lantern is to protect the light, to shield it from turbulence through the day and the night.
The role of the light is to trust its shield,
to shine with confidence and not to yield.
Whether you sit quietly in the shadows, keeping them at bay,
or, glow brightly…highlighting the way.
Your light is there for others to see
and your role is one of duality.
You are the lantern and the light.
You are the soul walking bright.
Within the body that moves through life,
you are the combination of that might.
One day the lantern and light will part.
The light will move on from the lanterns heart.
And take its place amongst the eternal flame,
where its memory of service will eternally remain.
Your light is eternal, your lantern divine.
Together you are remembered through space and through time.
Your life’s journey is requisite, sacred, and true,
you are the light beacon; the divine essence is you.
