Firstly, let me just say… chronic fatigue it not fun, burnout is not fun, feeling overwhelmed and anxious is, you guessed it…not fun!
I have experienced energy loss in the form of Chronic Fatigue, and I see many people experiencing anxiety on a massive scale. It appears to a growing issue and is totally understandable during these changing times.
However, most situations can be improved when you have understanding and support. Every experience is different and unique for each person; however, I found the core basics to manage energy to be the same.
The Power of Personal Boundaries
Boundaries are your frameworks; they keep your energy managed and prevent energy loss. When you try to please others, fit in or try and meet up to other people’s expectations, your boundaries are compromised. This leads to a huge amount of energy being spent trying to meet these added demands on ourselves.
This is quite common if you are sensitive, shy or introverted. It is easy to become overwhelmed or overpowered by stronger personalities and situations. It is also easy to forget you can call on your personal boundaries to support us. Make sound choices that benefit everyone concerned, including you.
Your boundaries also remind you of who you are, otherwise, you can lose yourself in other people’s moods, concerns or passions. Staying balanced is key and is also very empowering if you feel uncertain in a situation you may find yourself in.
Align with Like Minds
Invest your time around people you get on with; share, discuss and have fun! Being around people you cannot resonate with or relate to for prolonged periods of time can tax your energy and leave you feeling lethargic.
If you are around people or community groups that share the same hobbies, interests or belief systems as you, you will feel more supported and energised rather than drained.
Health and Wellbeing
This goes without saying… good sleep and good nutrition are key components to keep your energy levels up.
Exercise is also especially important as it burns off stuck energy and allows good energy to flow in. Endorphins are stimulated and contribute to a strong sense of wellbeing.
Your body is an organic machine that needs its regular maintenance checks to keep running smoothly. Glitches happen, injuries and illness can zap energy from you. What is important is to be patient and kind to yourselves during this time. That way you are not wasting precious energy on beating yourself up.
In my next blog I will share with you two amazing energy management teachings from Archangel Michael that fast tracked myself as well as my clients energy and wellbeing.
