Are you a giver? Are you inspired to solve other people’s problems? Do you prioritise other people’s dreams over your own? Do you place others above you?
If this resonates, then this blog is for you!
Firstly, lets define the difference between Self-Care and Soul-Care, and the importance of the two.
Self-Care
Self-Care relies on your everyday use of personal energy, and where you direct it. Everyday life brings stresses, concerns, responsibilities, and problems to be solved. This is where the majority of your personal energy automatically flows. If you create an imbalance in your body, by expending more energy than you hold, you create an energetic deficit that can spur further ongoing issues. For example, anxiety, worry, sadness, anger, and fatigue. These signs are often difficult to define individually, yet when seen as a collective, a pattern of potential burnout may be revealing itself.
Self-Care is your conscious awareness to balance your energetic scales, so that you are honouring your energy and investing it wisely, by applying it where it matters the most. In other words, Self-Care is managing and applying your energy towards a healthy physical, mental, and emotional lifestyle.
So, what is Soul-Care?
Soul-Care
Soul-Care is honouring your eternal self. Your soul is pure Energy and Light, thus forming a unique vibration that encourages your growth by drawing to you the teachings, experiences, and opportunities that encourage your soul growth.
Your soul essence is a connection to the Higher Consciousness, and as a result, have no need for earthly replenishment in the form of food, rest, and water. Yet, it have an insatiable appetite to learn and grow as quickly as possible. For some, this soul drive can create physical or mental burnout. Managing your soul urge so that it harmonises with your physical journey is important for maintaining overall wellbeing.
Let’s take a look at how we can support your soul, to aid your journey of growth.
- Your soul leaves markers or patterns in your life that create synchronicities. This may be a desire to help others, overcome fear, understand and engage in the world of money and business, protect others or instigate change, to name a few. In order to understand what your soul has a desire to do, explore any patterns or strong inclinations that keep you returning to a similar theme or process.
- Allow yourself some time to spend communing with your soul. This is most effectively achieved by creating a date with yourself. Cherishing alone time is good for the soul and gives you permission to hone your intuition and allows your soul to express itself naturally. Spending time in nature, meditation, creative pursuits, any process that allows your mind and soul to be free and converse.
- When the soul is in flow with the journey it has chosen, your physical life will also be in the flow. There will be a natural ease and abundance that moves throughout your life. The key here, is to trust your spiritual path… the one your soul has chosen for your greatest good.
- Acknowledging your soul’s presence as an important part of your journey in life, will encourage a sense of peace within; therefore, harmonising your soul with your physical experience through integration, time, and reflection, will strengthen and bring peace into your life.
- Your soul journey is unique and cannot be compared to others. All souls evolve and grow, specialising in important factors that refine and purify the soul’s existence. Comparing your soul’s journey to another is like comparing university degrees majoring in different subjects. It achieves segregation rather than unity. The journey is uniquely yours.
Caring for your soul requires acknowledging its presence, respecting its growth, and supporting its application for your greater good. When you are in tune with your soul, you will operate as one and feel united as one. Remember, Soul-Care is reaching a deeper sense of self.
It will be the greatest investment of personal energy you will make.
When you merge self-care with soul-care, you create a harmonious link between the two planes of existence, defining the physical and spiritual landscape that is divinely and uniquely you.
