I have been reflecting…
We currently navigate a world where people feel disconnected, alone, lack direction and self-worth, more than ever before.
We live in a time where we have access to technologies and information at our fingertips twenty-four hours a day.
If we feel bored, awkward, overwhelmed or embarrassed, our phones and other technologies are always nearby acting as a babysitter, comforter and distractor. They provide an added function to our modern day living, managing our fears and insecurities. We watch what we want to watch, and when. We have on demand access. Life should be improved, right?
Yet, I speak with people who crave to feel connected, loved, understood, heard and seen…more than ever before.
The calling to connect to something bigger than themselves, whether it’s a sense of purpose, a religion or a form of spirituality is also increasing.
This process has created an awakening both personally and spiritually. People are feeling out of balance, and on a quest to find what is missing in their life.
They feel empty and want to feel whole.
They feel overwhelmed and seek peace.
Everyone seeks a different form of solution, and for some it is as simple as becoming tech free for a day, not to be on call, no deadlines to meet, no expectations from the outside world.
Aligning with what your body and soul calls for is the first step to soothing your nervous system and sometimes it is as simple as a shift in perspective.
I see boredom is a gift because it creates a space for creativity, new ideas and intuition to flow through. Epiphanies, insights and inspirational ideas can be discovered when we create a pause within the chaos of noise.
I see nature as the greatest classroom, providing a supportive space that allows us to discover and learn at our own pace. It will feed your energy levels and your soul, simply allowing you to be you. Plants, animals, insects, rockpools, mountains, oceans and forests all teem with life and beauty, reminding us that the world is full of wonderment.
I see the light of God in all things, and the understanding that we are all students in the great university of life.
I get to see these things when I am in reflection, away from distractions, dramas and deadlines, and I am sitting in the stillness. It is here that my thoughts unpack, and a sense of surrender takes place. Releasing all into the light or higher power enables me to receive clarity quickly because I have consciously relinquished trying to control situations I have no control over or controlling outcomes that still need to unfold without my influence. There is always a bigger picture that we are not privy to and that’s okay. If we knew everything and controlled everything, where is the fun, wonderment or excitement that we receive when we achieve?
My journey with Archangel Michael has taught me many things, the first being the gift of silence. It is a cornucopia that keeps on giving the more you access it; clarity, support, wisdom, creativity, connection, understanding, peace and learning to receive.
So, upon reflection, if this blog can help anyone during their time of loneliness, boredom, personal or spiritual growth, or feeling disconnected, my advice to you is become your own best friend, begin there, and in times of silence, step by step, your cornucopia will reveal gifts to you that will fill your cup and empower you like never before.
Have you experienced moments of joy and inspiration during your times of pause? What have you gained from these experiences that support you?
Wherever you are, physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally, I wish you a day filled with epiphanies, joy and peace.
