Life and experiences go hand in hand. This is how we learn and grow, whatever we deem those experiences to be. Sometimes these experiences are of our own choosing and some, are not.
We are able to process, integrate and adapt new teachings into our life with ease when we plan and prepare for them beforehand.
When unexpected processes present themselves, we often experience first and process or integrate second, in order to integrate and grow. Making time to digest a new experience enables us to build on these new teachings.
However, what happens when we find ourselves repeatedly being easily triggered, fearful or sensitive to certain experiences without any known reason, not matter how much we try to understand where they come from?
It may be a past life experience surfacing to be healed.
Symptoms may include
- Deep seated fears – heights, falling, water, fire, crowds, animals/insects, judgement, death, loss, abandonment, financial instability, food or lack of food, control or loss of control, drowning, flying, boats, cars etc.
- Triggers – activated through reaching a certain age, place, person or event.
- Sensitivities – towards belief systems, different cultures, religious views, physical or emotional responses towards sound, touch, light variances.

Why do past life experiences surface to be healed?
They surface as unresolved or unfinished processes from another lifetime.
In this context, our life may have ended holding onto that last memory or experience, resulting in a fear or trigger in following lifetimes.
If we drowned in a boat incident in another life, we may experience a fear of drowning, sharks, darkness, fire, storms or boats for example.
As an eternal soul, we have the desire, opportunity or commitment to clear this ‘memory’ through consciously engaging in experiences to build up resistance in overcoming it/them.
If you are aware of any unresolved fears, sensitivities or triggers you may have, then the choice of actively working to overcome those blocks are in your control and you can take it at your own pace.
If, however you are unaware, then the Universe will present situations to you that will activate them, so you can decide how to proceed moving forward.
For example, if you bring in the fear of drowning, you may want to diffuse it by taking steps towards being comfortable in water. This can take the shape of swimming lessons, becoming used to swimming in a pool, etc. Other options may entail therapy, past life regressions, and other forms of professional help.
The good thing is, if your soul has chosen to work through this fear, then the Universe will always offer the support you need when you are ready.
