Let me begin by asking you two questions…
Do you feel like your life is currently suspended or maybe you are experiencing Groundhog Day?
Are you investing a lot of time and energy into projects or people, yet it feels as if you are yet to gain traction?
If you resonate with either or both questions, then this blog is for you!
The energy of this year is activating an internal sense of lack, aloneness, or both. There is also a reason why this is currently the case.
2022 is all about stepping into the new. To achieve this, we need to free up some space by letting go of what we have outgrown or what may be holding us back. Mindsets, belief systems, careers, interests and maybe some old or current acquaintances or friends are all factors that are being highlighted this year.
Many individuals are craving a shift, change or improvement from their current position in life, and for this to occur, change needs to happen. Otherwise, patterns will remain the same, producing the same results. Therefore, a life review or reset may be calling you…
There are four phases to this process.
Phase one – Review
This phase may be activated after actively experiencing a form of resistance, judgement, boredom, ongoing frustration, hurt, shock, or trauma. These are the common triggers however there are others.
Once this trigger has been activated, a personal internalising assessment begins…the review phase is underway. The following questions are often the beginning of the review process, ‘was it me?’ ‘Could I have handled this in a different way?’ ‘Why did they say that about me?’ ‘What happens to me if they leave?’ ‘What do I really want?’ ‘What does make me happy?’
The time duration of this phase varies from individual to individual. For some, it can take days and for others, months or even years.
If you find yourself spending a while in the review phase, gaining a fresh perspective by speaking to a friend or even making quality time for yourself to address these key questions will be an investment in your time and energy. You will then find yourself at phase two.
Phase two – Release
To achieve a change in direction or embrace new opportunities or happiness, a shift or release of old ways may be required.
Freeing up some space or letting go may trigger a feeling of lack, or loss for some, and this often generates a sense of fear and grief, especially when what we have outgrown has played a foundational role of who we are. However, often, you are being nudged to explore fresh options and it is now your time. Therefore, making a conscious choice of change in this life review, will soften this process rather than exacerbate it.
This can be achieved by
- Selecting the area in your life that change or release is required
- Release or promote the shift required with the correct intent (why you want the change).
- Correct Intent entails a focus on embracing a new feeling with gratitude –
- ‘I am ready and open to invite happiness/opportunity/friendship/abundance/peace/healing etc into my life’
- versus
- Incorrect Intent entailing running away from a situation or feeling that you don’t like – ‘I don’t like my job and need to find something else’, ‘I’m not happy in my relationship and would prefer someone better than who I have now’.
- Confidently step into the feeling or action that you desire to activate the new you. Anytime we initiate change, we are letting something go, be it mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual. This creates an energetic void that needs to be filled. In generating a new feeling or action that you desire, you are replacing the void with your choices, on your terms. Out with the old, and in with the new.
Phase three – Lingering
You may have transitioned through the release phase and yet be still uncertain about what you want to step into or how. This is the lingering phase.
It is a time of indecision – do I fall back into what I know and feel safe with or, do I take that leap of faith into the unknown?
At the end of the day, the choice is yours; however, please remember that you may default back to the phase one process and need to work through the phases process later.
I am talking with many people agonizing over this process. It is at this phase you need to support yourself with compassion, patience, and strength. It is also important that you remember what you desire to step towards and if you don’t know what this is now, focus on how it will make you feel.
I am a strong believer that God/Universe always opens doors when we are ready to step up. If you have reached this phase…you are almost there!
Phase four – Walk your Talk
Congratulations, you’ve reached phase four. In this phase you will be walking your talk and integrating the new changes you have introduced into your daily life. It will take time for it to become comfortable however you will begin to see your dreams come to light. You have shifted your personal vibration and as a result, the stronger this new personal vibration becomes each day, the faster you attract to you what it is you are now longing for.
I hope this blog provides some support and reassurance during these times of transformation. Many people are currently walking this journey through the phases albeit privately. Remember, you’re not alone on this journey and I have seen the wonderful results many individuals have achieved as they fully transition through these phases of change.
