Dream interpretation has been around from centuries and may reveal insights into our psyche, unresolved thoughts and emotions, and a way for our mind to process our experiences.
From a spiritual perspective, dream interpretation also opens up divine dialogue with our spiritual guides, angels and Source.
I can only speak from my own experience, being mentored by an Archangel. It was through this mentoring that Archangel Michael shared with me the intricate levels of messaging many receive whilst asleep.
He explained to me that this messaging was readily accessible to all, yet through the busy activities of life, we are too engaged to listen. It is when we unwind, rest or sleep that we make room for that dialogue to be received.
Do you experience dreams that puzzle you or even frighten you, or dreams that seem so bizarre that you wake up trying to understand what they are about?
If you have experienced this, you may explore the internet for answers, while others worry themselves into a turmoil until they understand what the message or dream reveals. It is important to note however, that sometimes these dreams are meant to be memorable in some form, so you maintain the message when you wake. Writing your dreams down whenever possible will assist you in establishing your angelic communication link.
Here are some of the levels of communication to observe.
Repeating patterns
Divine messaging will always repeat in patterns until you understand the message. Therefore, if you experience a similar image, sensation or repeating dream then you are receiving a message of importance. Once you understand that message, the dream sequence will change.
Animals
Animals often represent personality types and the way you, or others, move through life. You may be gentle, timid, free spirited or courageous.
A totem animal often appears in your dreams when you may feel vulnerable and presents itself as a powerful presence and you sense its role as your protector.
Imagery
All imagery has an interpretation, for example, a house often represents you as an individual. The basement represents your past, a place where you may hide experiences away and where your foundations have been established.
The kitchen is where nourishment takes place and indicates how you nourish yourself. Each room in the house represents aspects of yourself, and your connection to others. How do you feel if you imagine entering each room? Are there any rooms locked or you are hesitant to enter? Why?
Windows are the eyes to the world. Do you keep the curtains drawn? What don’t you want to see, or see you?
Colours
Colours also contain a level of communication and needs to be factored into the imagery you receive.
For example, let us say you dream of a butterfly. A butterfly represents transformation, and you are on a transformation journey.
If the butterfly is orange, then your journey is full of purpose and optimism. If your butterfly is purple, then your journey is still transformative and mystical. You may need to be patient before you understand your new path. If your butterfly is green, then you are on a journey towards healing or becoming a healer.
Numbers
Numbers carry a vibration that also has meaning. When you see repeating numbers then the message is intensified. If you see numbers in any aspect of your dream, then this too contains a part of the message for you.
Spoken words
Sometimes we remember speaking to others and holding conversations within our dreams. Some of these conversations are literal while others are symbolic. However, words are important because they bring clarification to your consciousness, enabling a shift during your waking hours.
Symbols
Symbols often provide a level of communication and present themselves in dreams when the symbol contains a package of information. If you are interested in Egyptian hieroglyphics, you may receive a hieroglyphic messaging in your dream-one you may need to research to understand. Ancient symbols often appear in dream state and once researched, not only provide information but also a wonderment of ‘how did that happen?’
Past Life Memories
Past Life memories appear in dream state when we are on a spiritual journey and require deeper understanding of who we are as a soul. As this is a big topic, I will delve deeper into this in an upcoming blog.
Exploring these in greater detail often enable you to free yourself from limitations and help you feel more connected and supported to your divine guides.
